Job Summary Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Registered Veterinary Technician, where your expertise will directly impact the health and well-being of animals. In this energetic role, you will provide compassionate patient care, assist veterinarians with medical procedures, and ensure a smooth operation within our veterinary practice. Your skills in animal handling, laboratory work, and veterinary terminology will be essential in delivering top-tier service to our clients and their beloved pets. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and monitoring patient status. Perform animal restraint and handling using humane techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like animal catheterization and wound management to prevent infections. Manage pet care routines including grooming, feeding, and administering medications as directed. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with cleaning, and polishing Operate radiography equipment to take X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Maintain detailed medical records, update patient charts with treatment plans, and document all procedures accurately. Contribute to team efforts by participating in ongoing training related to veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and advanced technical skills like laboratory testing or equine care. Qualifications Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar veterinary support role; veterinary technician certification is preferred. Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology to perform technical tasks confidently. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, X-ray operations, aseptic techniques, and veterinary critical care protocols. Ability to handle animals safely using restraint techniques suitable for different species. Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members effectively. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of dental terminology relevant to veterinary dentistry is a plus. $26.00 - $34.00 per hour
