We believe preventative care is one of the most powerful tools in veterinary medicine and are seeking an experienced RVT who shares that passion. This is an excellent opportunity for an RVT who enjoys client education, wellness medicine, protocol development, and helping maintain an efficient, well-organized hospital. Job Overview The Preventative Health & Inventory Management RVT serves as a key clinical leader within the practice. This position combines patient care, client education, inventory oversight, and operational support to ensure the highest level of preventative healthcare delivery. The ideal candidate is confident in exam rooms, enjoys educating clients, is highly organized, and understands how effective inventory management supports excellent patient care. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with proficiency in animal restraint and aseptic techniques. Perform laboratory tests, collect samples for medical analysis, and interpret results to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Conduct medical collections such as blood draws, urine samples, and other diagnostic specimens accurately and efficiently. Manage kennel operations including animal husbandry, feeding, grooming, and maintaining clean environments to promote health and comfort. Handle animal catheterization procedures with precision while ensuring proper aseptic techniques are followed. Provide pet care services such as grooming, training assistance, and pet grooming to enhance overall animal well-being. Support emergency veterinary critical care efforts by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with life-saving procedures. Qualifications Current California RVT License in good standing. Minimum 2 years of veterinary clinical experience. Strong communication and client education skills. Experience with vaccine protocols and preventative healthcare recommendations. Proficiency in patient restraint, venipuncture, catheter placement, and laboratory procedures. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
