Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) - Hospitalization/Float Technician Rocklin Ranch Veterinary Hospital | Rocklin, CA Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 10:00 AM-7:00 PM Rocklin Ranch Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team as a Hospitalization/Float Technician . This position is ideal for an RVT who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with hospitalized and critical patients, and is confident in anesthesia monitoring, patient assessment, and advanced nursing care. Previous experience in Urgent Care, Emergency, or ICU settings is highly preferred. Why Join Rocklin Ranch Veterinary Hospital? Two fully equipped surgical suites Advanced dentistry suite Digital radiology and digital dental radiology Ultrasound Idexx in-house laboratory (ProCyte, Catalyst, Sedivue, Coag Dx, and more) Full in-house pharmacy Oxygen therapy capabilities Modern treatment and hospitalization areas What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a well-rounded RVT who is: Proficient in anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery Experienced caring for hospitalized and critical patients Comfortable triaging and managing intermediate to advanced medical cases BLS/CPR certified or highly confident performing CPR Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills Able to remain calm and effective during emergencies Passionate about patient advocacy and high-quality medicine Responsibilities Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery Provide advanced nursing care to hospitalized patients Perform venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement Advanced sampling and jugular blood collection preferred Administer medications and treatments Run and interpret in-house laboratory diagnostics Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs Intubate patients for anesthesia and emergency procedures Monitor patient status and communicate concerns to doctors Educate clients regarding patient care and treatment plans Fill prescriptions and maintain accurate medical records Assist across departments as needed Maintain medical equipment and treatment areas Follow OSHA, DEA, and hospital safety protocols
QualificationsRequired:
Current Veterinary Technician License Strong technical and patient care skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
