veterinary technician Atlantic Street Pet Hospital Roseville, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $21•$26 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Job description: Veterinary Technician (2+ Years Technician Experience Required) We are seeking a motivated, experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing team! The ideal candidate is a team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is willing to help wherever needed to support patient care and clinic flow. Our hospital is General practice and Urgent Care and open 9am-10pm Mon-Fr and 9:30am-7pm Saturdays Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience•Technician should need minimal training Strong technical and animal-handling skills Ability to multitask, stay organized and on track without supervision or guidance Positive attitude with a willingness to assist in all areas of the hospital Rooming appointments and assisting doctors during exams Performing routine technician duties (TPR,lab work, treatments, patient care, restraint, etc.) Ability to lift 50+ pounds with assistance Urgent Care Duties•Triage and assess urgent and emergency patients Assist with patient stabilization, IV catheter placement, and fluid therapy Administer medications and monitor vital signs Assist with diagnostics (lab work, radiographs) Technician should be able to provide wound care, bandaging, and assist with emergency procedures Monitor hospitalized and critical patients Support client communication and discharge instructions Always maintain accurate medical records and a clean, organized treatment area Supporting overall hospital operations and jumping in wherever help is needed which includes reception (Having system experience with idexx neo is a plus!) Ideal candidate has open availability as our schedule can fluctuate.
