Oak Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Lead Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our highly respected team in Vacaville. What You'll Do Serve as a leader and mentor for the technician team Coordinate daily treatment and surgical workflows Partner closely with veterinarians as their right-hand support person Assist with technician scheduling and workflow management Support training, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members Continue utilizing your technical skills through surgery, anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, and advanced patient care Help maintain medical quality standards and operational efficiency Foster a positive, collaborative, and supportive hospital culture What We're Looking For Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) required Minimum of 3 years of veterinary technician experience Previous leadership, training, or supervisory experience preferred Strong anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry skills Experience with low-stress patient handling techniques Excellent communication and organizational abilities Ability to mentor, coach, and support fellow team members Positive, approachable, and team-oriented personality Dependable leader who earns trust and leads by example Passion for patient care, teamwork, and continuous improvement Schedule Full-time, 40 hours per week Monday through Friday No weekends No holidays What We Offer $30-$35 per hour, depending on experience Health insurance benefits Free mental health benefit options 401(k) with company match Competitive PTO plan Employee pet care discounts Continuing education opportunities Leadership development and mentorship opportunities Supportive team culture with experienced doctors who love to teach Opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a respected, community-focused hospital Work-life balance with a Monday-Friday schedule and no weekends or holidays If you're an experienced RVT looking for a leadership opportunity where your voice matters, your skills are valued, and your team feels like family, we'd love to hear from you.
