• Full-time South Hills Animal Hospital is a full service animal hospital and welcomes both emergency treatment cases as well as pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care.

Dr. Francis Park and Dr. Thomas Kim have years of experience treating serious conditions and offering regular pet wellness care. We have recently moved into our newly renovated location fully equipped with in-house laboratory, digital radiography, full anesthesia monitoring, a fully equipped surgical suite, upgraded equipment and technology, and additional exam rooms. We are a fast paced hospital in need of an experienced veterinary technician/receptionist with 3-5 years experience (required). This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to gain experience within the animal field while working in an upbeat, progressive and fast paced practice. We are looking for a professional friendly demeanor, willing to learn with a true heart for animals. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational and communication skills, be able to provide quality customer service, and be able to work well in a team setting. Being bilingual is a plus (combination of English & Spanish/Chinese/Korean).

• VETERINARY TECHNICIAN

• As a veterinary technician you are the primary support to veterinarians and patients alike.

Veterinary technicians must be able to pay attention to detail, respond quickly and calmly at all times, and maintain the highest quality of patient care and client service. Qualifications:

At least 3-5 year of veterinary assistant or technician experience in veterinary field (REQUIRED) . Registered Veterinary Technician License (preferred but not required) High School Diploma or GED (required) Must have skills listed above (required) Must be able to lift 40 pounds safely & stand for long periods of time Must be available Friday and Saturdays (required) Basic math & writing skills Essential duties and responsibilities: Answer/Triage phone calls from clients/vendors Schedule appointments and schedule procedures. Assist Veterinarian/techs with restraining patient when needed. Go over estimates/treatment with clients and patient history intake. Identify and work compassionately with clients in various emotional states. Fill prescriptions when needed. Discharge patients. Client education. Process payment transactions Assist in cleaning the hospital including but not limited to: keeping reception desk area and lobby clean and sanitary, taking out the trash and recycling, laundry, cleaning floors, bathrooms, exam rooms, kitchen and kennels if needed. Maintain proper documentation in the electronic medical record.

Computer skills:

Able to use Windows based computer systems, word processing, email, web search and other skills needed to effectively use the practice management software.

Qualifications:

At least 1 year of customer service job-related experience in veterinary field At least 1 year of veterinary assistant experience in veterinary field Must be able to lift 40 pounds safely Must be available Saturdays Basic math & writing skills
