We are seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our growing team. Our hospital emphasizes individualized patient care, strong client relationships, efficient workflows, and a positive work environment where every team member is respected and valued. Position Summary The Registered Veterinary Technician serves as an integral part of the medical team, providing nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory support, client education, and technical assistance to veterinarians. RVTs play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care while helping maintain an efficient and compassionate hospital environment. Responsibilities Obtain patient histories, weights, and vital signs Assist veterinarians during examinations and treatments Place and maintain intravenous catheters Collect blood, urine, fecal, and cytology samples Perform in-house laboratory testing Take and process digital radiographs Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia patients in accordance with California RVT regulations Assist with dental procedures and dental radiography Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians Monitor hospitalized patients and provide nursing care Maintain accurate medical records Support a clean, safe, and organized hospital environment Qualifications Current California RVT license in good standing Strong anesthesia monitoring and patient care skills Experience with dentistry and dental radiography preferred Excellent communication and client service skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to patient advocacy Ability to lift and restrain animals safely What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Medical, dental, and vision benefits (if applicable) Paid time off Paid RVT license renewal Continuing education allowance and CE days Uniform allowance Employee pet care discounts Supportive, team-focused culture Opportunity to utilize your full RVT skill set Schedule Full-time and part-time position available No weekends About Township Animal Hospital Township Animal Hospital is a privately owned small animal practice committed to providing exceptional medical, surgical, and preventive care.
