Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate, detail oriented, Veterinary Technician to join our small animal mobile surgery team. We start and end each day in Boulder, CO and serve veterinary hospitals across the Colorado front range. Technician duties include assisting in surgery and maintenance of surgical equipment. We offer a 4 day work week (no on-call or weekends), PTO, Health/Vision/Dental insurance, CE and uniform allowance, and employer contributions to HSA and IRA plans.Duties:
- Assist veterinarian in surgeries
- Perform X-rays
- Assist with medical records for all patients
- Provide compassionate care and handle animals with patience and sensitivity
- Clean and maintain veterinary equipment and work areas
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of animal care
- Familiarity with routine veterinary care procedures and protocols
- Proficient in handling animals safely and with minimal stress
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medical abbreviations
- Experience with aseptic technique during surgical procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with the veterinary team in the hospitals we serve
Requirements:
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or equivalent certification preferred
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or hospital is highly desired
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team We offer competitive pay based on experience.
