Middlebury, CT Schedule:
Wednesdays & Fridays, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM Potential for additional hours on Tuesdays in the future. We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician who shares our commitment to compassionate care and enjoys being part of a collaborative team dedicated to making a difference in the lives of pets and their families. Position Summary We are looking for a skilled and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be confident in anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, and dental radiography while providing excellent patient care and client communication. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery Assist with dental cleanings and dental procedures Obtain high-quality dental radiographs Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics Administer medications and treatments as directed Maintain accurate medical records Educate clients on treatment plans and at-home care Support a positive, collaborative hospital culture Provide compassionate, low-stress patient handling and care Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience preferred Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring is required Experience assisting with dental procedures and obtaining dental radiographs is required Strong patient handling and restraint skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Veterinary Technician certification/licensure preferred but not required Commitment to compassionate, patient-focused care Compensation & Benefits $20.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) retirement plan Health insurance Employee discounts on veterinary services, medications, and pet supplies Employer-provided scrub tops Fear Free Certification sponsorship for team members who are not already certified Opportunity for additional hours as hospital needs grow Job Details Part-time position 10-hour shifts In-person position Opportunity to grow with a long-established and respected veterinary practice Why Join Our Team?
