Veterinary TechnicianEmbrace Animal Hospital | Middlebury, CT Are you the type of person who takes pride in doing things the right way? Embrace Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. We are open to candidates with 1-2 years of veterinary experience who are looking to continue developing their skills in a positive, professional environment. While technical skills are important, we believe character matters just as much. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Has at least 1 year of veterinary experience Is dependable and accountable Works well with others and contributes positively to team culture Communicates professionally with clients and coworkers Is willing to learn and accept feedback Takes pride in providing excellent patient care Remains calm and productive in a fast-paced environment Maintains a positive attitude during challenging days Avoids workplace drama, gossip, and negativity Understands that great client relationships are just as important as great medical care Responsibilities Responsibilities may include: Assisting veterinarians with examinations and treatments Patient restraint and low-stress handling Laboratory sample collection and processing Medication administration Surgical and anesthesia support Radiology assistance Client communication and education Medical record documentation Maintaining a clean and organized hospital Training & Professional Growth We are committed to helping motivated team members continue developing their skills. Qualifications Required:
Minimum 1 year of veterinary experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a team environment Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred:
Veterinary Technician certification Veterinary Technology degree High school diploma or equivalent Schedule Requirements This position includes two Saturday mornings per month , which are required as part of our team schedule.
