Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. We are in immediate need for a Veterinary Technician. Qualifications Prior veterinary technician experience (1+ years preferred). High School diploma or GED Driver's License Familiarity with IDEXX and Zoetis diagnostic systems a plus. Familiarity with AVimark or similar practice management software a plus. M ultitasking and communication skills. Work as part of a team Position Summary We're looking for a detail-oriented Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who loves animals, works with clients, and takes pride in keeping the hospital running smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Surgical Support & Instrument Care o Prepare, clean, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical tools. o Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the surgery room before and after procedures. o Assist the veterinarian during surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth and sterile workflow. Laboratory & Diagnostic Duties o Operate and maintain IDEXX and Zoetis in-house blood analyzers. o Collect, process, and analyze laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, cytology, etc.) utilizing a Zoetis Imagyst machine. o Record and communicate diagnostic results clearly and accurately. Patient Care & Assistance o Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately. o Assist the veterinarian in examination rooms with clients and their fur babies. o Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia or treatment. Hospital Maintenance & Team Support o Maintain overall hospital cleanliness and assist with laundry, restocking, and sanitation protocols. o Provide support to the front desk and client service team when needed. o Follow all safety and infection control guidelines. Schedule & Compensation Full-time schedule (some Saturdays required). Currently, working 36 hours per week. Competitive pay based on experience. Employee discounts on veterinary services and products.
