Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Farm Hand / Vet Tech, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining the health, safety, and productivity of our farm operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals and farm machinery, ensuring smooth daily operations while supporting veterinary care and animal husbandry practices. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a thriving environment for both livestock and farm staff. This paid position is perfect for individuals passionate about agriculture, animal care, and hands-on farm work. Duties Assist with daily animal husbandry tasks, including feeding, watering, grooming, and monitoring animal health. Support veterinary procedures such as vaccinations, treatments, and health assessments under supervision. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including riding mower and cattle shoot. Handle heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely during tasks like loading, unloading, or transporting materials. Conduct routine inspections of fencing. Supervise or assist with growing crops or horticultural projects; support greenhouse operations when needed. Ensure animal handling is safe and humane; support breeding programs and manage livestock movement across the farm. Follow safety protocols diligently to promote a secure working environment for all team members. Qualifications . Strong background in animal husbandry with hands-on experience in animal care and handling techniques. Experience working with equines (horses) or other livestock species is preferred. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform tasks requiring stamina; comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Familiarity with safety standards related to equipment operation and animal handling is essential.
