Veterinary Technician

Job Summary Looking for an experienced Veterinarian technician who has at minimum 2 years of working in a small animal practice. ( We are not interviewing anyone without the minimum years of experience) Duties will include but are not limited to: Attend to the daily care taking needs of the hospitals patients Assist with physical exams, appointments, surgeries, etc Monitor anesthesia Proficient in blood draws and placing IV Catheters

injections Maintain surgical equipment, sterilize surgical instruments, and assist the veterinarian as needed in surgery (such as patient preparation and monitoring) Administer medications to patients Knowledge on medications and preventatives Properly restrain patients for blood/urine collection and tissue sampling for testing Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis setup, operation of automated blood machines, fecal exams, and bedside "SNAP" tests (heartworm, feline leukemia/FIV, etc) Maintain patient charts that document daily care Cleaning duties as needed around clinic
