  • Part-time, Full-time Animal Eye Doctors We are a boutique veterinary specialty practice privately owned in search of a motivated and compassionate person as a veterinary technician with surgical anesthesia experience.
General Position Description:
We are looking for a veterinary technician with at least 1 year of experience in anesthesia, surgery, and a passion for exceptional care and compassion for our clients and patients. We encourage professional growth and development and a positive attitude. A successful candidate will have the ability to or will have the opportunity to learn to (skills may vary with assistants vs technician): Obtain complete and pertinent client histories Restrain pets for ophthalmic examination Draw blood/ place IV catheters/ monitor anesthesia Assist in surgery with instruments and surgical prep Patient monitoring and charting throughout surgeries and procedures Provide post operative care and administer medication as instructed Understand veterinary terminology Support and anticipate the needs of the veterinarians and clients Support and encourage their teammates Communicate concisely and clearly Educate clients Problem solve
Qualifications:
Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a very busy environment Knowledge of basic computer software Communicates well with clients and medical staff Prior experience in a medical or veterinary office setting Must be detail oriented Has a mature and professional demeanor and dress Has a positive and solid work ethic Experience with pet patient restraint for examinations Experience with anesthetic monitoring a plus '
