Experienced Vet Tech/Receptionist

Job Summary Heritage Oaks Veterinary Hospital is seeking a versatile professional to join our team in a dual-role capacity. Do you love animals, enjoy talking to their people, and thrive in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a dedicated and experienced team member to bridge the gap between our front desk and exam rooms. The ideal candidate is a skilled veterinary technician (or assistant) who is also capable of managing the front desk/reception. You will act as a seamless link between the lobby and the treatment floor, ensuring no client or patient is left waiting for care. This role is a boredom-buster as no day will every be exactly the same; varying as the day-to-day needs of the hospital change with our growth!

What You Will Do:

Greet clients, check in patients, and manage multi-line phones. Assist the veterinarian with examinations and treatments. Perform lab work, run diagnostics, and assist in surgery. Provide compassionate care to patients and exceptional service to their owners. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the treatment and client areas.

What We Are Looking For:

Previous veterinary assistant and receptionist experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and empathetic in high-stress or emotional situations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A person able to lift up to 50 pounds (this allows for appropriate animal restraint as well as helping with stocking of veterinary diets). Strong organizational skills to handle paperwork, pharmacy requests, and multitasking between the front and back of the house. Pay:

$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
