$17-$20 per hour, based on experience, skills, and adaptability We are seeking a confident, well-trained, organized, and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced Mixed Animal General Practice . Our practice provides veterinary care for both large and small animals, and we are looking for a well-rounded team member who enjoys variety and takes pride in providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate is a friendly, hardworking, reliable, and self-motivated Veterinary Technician who is comfortable in a busy environment and enjoys working with veterinarians, fellow technicians, clients, and veterinary students. What We're Looking For Veterinary Technician experience in a mixed animal general practice Veterinary Technician experience preferred; 5+ years a plus Large animal experience is a plus Experience with surgery, anesthesia, and dental equipment Confident animal handling and restraint skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable teaching and mentoring veterinary and college students Proficient with computers and current veterinary technology Highly organized with attention to detail Comfortable with inventory, stocking, cleaning, and maintaining organization Able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Reliable, dependable, and willing to help wherever needed Must work well with others and contribute to a positive team environment Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures Provide quality patient care and monitoring Assist with surgery, anesthesia, and dental procedures Operate and maintain dental and surgical equipment Prepare treatment and surgical areas Stock rooms and maintain inventory Assist with ordering and inventory management Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital Assist with kennel and patient care as needed Answer phones and assist clients when needed Support the veterinary team with daily hospital operations Help teach and mentor veterinary and college students The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a confident, kind, well-rounded Veterinary Technician who enjoys working in a Mixed Animal General Practice .
