Job Description

Lighthouse Wants You!! We are looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our awesome Lighthouse team! Lighthouse Animal Hospital is a privately owned, fast paced, full service animal hospital. Our mission is providing top quality service to clients and patients. We are a 2 doctor practice looking for an experienced veterinary technician to join us in the continued growth of our newly opened practice! Two years of veterinary experience is required with training and advancement opportunities available. Hourly pay commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include but not limited to
  • Assist the veterinarian with exams, surgery, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Obtain and process lab samples, including the use of in-house analyzers, and performing skin and ear cytology
  • Assistance with surgical procedures, including prep, induction, anesthetic monitoring with EKG and blood pressure, and recovery
  • Client interaction and education
  • Must be able to lift at least 40lb
  • Must be able to exhibit proper patient restraint for physical exams, radiographs, and sample collections
  • Show proficiency in blood draws and IV catheter placement
  • General cleaning and hospital maintenance including laundry, end of day cleaning, restocking supplies, unpacking new inventory, etc.
