Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in animal care and veterinary practices, demonstrating proficiency in various technical skills necessary for the health and well-being of our patients. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional care for animals while supporting veterinarians in clinical procedures. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures. Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis, ensuring accurate results. Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures. Conduct X-ray imaging and interpret basic results as needed. Provide pet care services including grooming, bathing, and nail trimming. Monitor animal behavior and vital signs to assess health status. Prepare animals for surgery, including catheterization and anesthesia monitoring. Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures. Qualifications Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited institution is preferred. Experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable. Familiarity with dental terminology related to animal care is beneficial. Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment handling. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and teamwork. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
