Operation:
SNIP! We are a non-profit, HQHVSN and Wellness Clinic . Our mission is to reduce pet overpopulation and the resulting euthanasia of healthy dogs and cats through our affordable services. We are seeking a qualified, independent veterinary professional to join our growing surgical and wellness team. Candidates with dental experience will be given preference.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
  • Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
  • Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
  • Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of animals
  • Perform laboratory tests and analyze samples
  • Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment
Skills:
  • High Volume Anesthesia Experience
  • Veterinary technician certification or relevant experience
  • Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control protocols
  • Knowledge of animal husbandry practices and animal behavior
  • Familiarity with veterinary medical terminology and procedures
  • Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
