Job Description

Loving Hearts Pet Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our growing, team-oriented practice. We are seeking someone who is passionate about patient care, enjoys working with people and animals, and thrives in a collaborative hospital environment. Our hospital is equipped with an in-house laboratory, full surgical suite, and digital radiography, allowing our team to provide high-quality medical care to every patient. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with patient examinations and treatments Obtain accurate medical histories and communicate effectively with clients Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory samples Administer medications and vaccines as directed Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures Take and process digital radiographs Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients Prepare and maintain exam rooms and treatment areas Educate clients on preventative care, medications, and post-operative instructions Maintain accurate medical records Qualifications Veterinary technician or assistant experience required (1+ years preferred) Ability to restrain animals safely and confidently Comfortable with blood draws, catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Compassion for both patients and clients Preferred Skills Anesthesia monitoring IV catheter placement Dental radiographs and dental prophylaxis In-house laboratory equipment experience Experience with Avimark What We Offer Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunity to grow your veterinary skills Employee pet care discounts Paid time off after 1 year If you are passionate about animal care and want to work in a hospital that values teamwork and high-quality medicine, we would love to meet you.
Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
