In this energetic role, you will assist veterinarians in providing comprehensive medical services, ensuring the well-being of a diverse range of animals. Your expertise will support diagnostic procedures, patient care, and client education, all while maintaining a lively and compassionate environment. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and animal patients. Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for both animals and staff during treatments and examinations. Conduct laboratory tests, including sample collection and analysis, to aid in accurate diagnosis. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infections and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Manage pet care routines such as grooming, administering medications, and monitoring recovery progress. Assist with animal catheterization, IV placement, and other procedures for veterinary patients. Maintain detailed records of treatments, procedures, and patient progress in compliance with clinic protocols. Skills Proven kennel experience with the ability to handle multiple animals confidently. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy. Experience with dog handling techniques and pet grooming practices. Familiarity with laboratory procedures Skilled in animal restraint methods to ensure safety and comfort. Knowledge of aseptic techniques essential for surgical preparation and infection control. Ability to communicate effectively with clients about pet care instructions using veterinary terminology. Experience in veterinary critical care settings with the ability to respond swiftly to emergencies. Competence in performing animal catheterization and administering treatments accurately.
