Veterinary Technician

Veterinary Technician 1.0 1.0 out of 5 stars Murphy Veterinary Hospital is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic veterinary technician/assistant or Certified Veterinary Technician to join our healthcare team. We are a one doctor, small animal practice. Candidate must have at least 1 year experience, excellent work ethic, and the ability to multi-task. This posting is for a Full-Time position. Some skills include:

Collect blood, stool, and urine Perform laboratory tests, such as urinalysis, heartworm tests, and feline leukemia tests Take and develop x-rays Sterilize instruments and equipment Assist with dental procedures and surgeries Prepare animals for surgery Record case history, weight, temperature and other details Restrain and stabilize animals during examination and treatment Trim nails, express anal glands Administer medications, and treatments prescribed by a veterinarian Provide basic education on animal care, nutrition and medical conditions Teach clients how to administer medicines at home Answer phones and make appointments
