Job Description

Veterinary Technician Eureka Animal Clinic is looking for an experienced, dependable, and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are seeking someone who is confident handling dogs and cats, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable assisting with routine appointments, urgent cases, treatments, and surgical procedures. Responsibilities Safely restrain and handle dogs and cats Obtain patient histories and vital signs Assist veterinarians during examinations and treatments Draw blood and place IV catheters Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian Prepare and run in-house laboratory samples Assist with X-rays and diagnostic procedures Prepare patients for surgery Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery Assist with dental procedures Care for hospitalized patients Maintain accurate medical records Clean, disinfect, and prepare treatment and surgical areas Communicate professionally with clients and team members Maintain proper patient care and safety at all times Requirements Veterinary technician experience preferred Strong animal handling and restraint skills Comfortable working with both routine and urgent-care cases Ability to multitask in a busy environment Dependable, punctual, and professional Strong communication and teamwork skills Must be comfortable around dogs and cats Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Flexible availability Weekend availability may be required Schedule Our clinic operates between 10:00 AM and 10:00 PM , so applicants must have flexible availability . What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is hardworking, compassionate, responsible, organized, and a team player . The ideal candidate takes pride in providing excellent patient care and can remain calm and focused in a fast-paced veterinary environment.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 34.0 - 40.0 per week
