Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care Prepare animals for procedures by safely restraining and calming them, ensuring their comfort and safety Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian with accuracy Collect laboratory samples such as blood, urine, or tissue for testing, and process samples efficiently Maintain detailed medical records and update patient files to ensure accurate documentation of treatments and progress Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, medication administration, and preventive health practices Monitor anesthesia during surgeries and assist with recovery to ensure smooth patient outcomes Experience Prior experience working as a veterinary technician or in a related animal healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is highly valued Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, restraint techniques, and basic laboratory procedures is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners, team members, and veterinarians Ability to handle animals gently yet confidently in high-pressure situations Commitment to ongoing learning about veterinary practices, new technologies, and animal health advancements Embark on a rewarding career where your passion for animals meets your desire to make a meaningful difference.
