In this vital role, you will provide exceptional animal care and support veterinarians in delivering top-tier medical services. Your expertise will help ensure our patients receive compassionate treatment, accurate diagnostics, and thorough pet care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly impact the health and happiness of animals and their owners. We are especially looking for someone with dental experience. How to obtain dental radiographs and the knowledge of dental charting and performing dental prophylaxis. Duties Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and sample collection using aseptic techniques. Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to aid in patient diagnosis. Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and laboratory results while ensuring compliance with veterinary standards. Conduct animal husbandry tasks including feeding, grooming, pet care, and ensuring proper animal housing conditions. Handle dog handling, and animal restraint to facilitate smooth examinations and procedures. Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines, ensuring safety protocols are followed for both animals and staff. Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and supporting pet dental care routines. Support critical care cases by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing attentive animal care during recovery. Manage laboratory samples efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and adherence to safety standards. Experience Proven veterinary technician experience with a strong foundation in animal physiology, anatomy knowledge, veterinary terminology, and animal handling techniques. Dental experience is preferred Experience with veterinary critical care procedures and emergency response is highly desirable. Familiarity with laboratory testing processes and equipment operation is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to handle dogs confidently through training or handling experience.
