EXCEL IN THE FOLLOWING

Assist veterinarians Monitor vital signs and know when there is a problem Obtain blood, stool, and other samples Test blood, stool, and other samples Place IV catheters Able to multitask Take x-rays Prepare animals for surgery including intubation Perform dental procedures Emergency first aid Restrain animals during exams Administer and monitor anesthesia Administer medications and vaccines, and treatments prescribed by a veterinarian Must be willing to learn and grow within the field Able to take constructive criticism Able to run and/or learn to perform a
