Job Description
Veterinary Technician wanted for Peace River Veterinary Clinic, a four doctor small animal private practice in downtown Punta Gorda. We are looking for someone with at least one year of experience. Responsibilities include drawing blood, digital radiographs, lab tests (setting up fecals, urinalyses, and cytologies), knowledge of vaccines and preventatives/products, ability to restrain and lift patients, assist in surgeries/monitoring anesthesia, perform dental cleanings, and provide additional support with front desk duties (phones, appointments, checking in). Must have a professional appearance, good communication skills, and be friendly with clients and co-workers. Another important criteria is being able to come in at 7:30 AM on designated days (usually 2 weekdays) for surgery patients and have availability to work every 3rd Saturday from 9 AM-12PM.
