In this vital role, you will assist veterinarians in providing exceptional care for our patients and their people. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to a positive experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your animal handling expertise, technical skills, and veterinary knowledge in a fast-paced, rewarding environment committed to excellence. Duties Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and animal patients. Perform animal restraint and handling using proper techniques to ensure safety for animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests, including sample collection, processing, and analysis to support accurate diagnoses. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as animal catheterization and wound management to prevent infections. Take digital dental radiographs and perform dental cleanings and charting. Operate diagnostic imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, ensuring high-quality images while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed medical records, update patient charts with treatment notes, lab results, and procedural documentation. Skills Strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy knowledge. Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and analysis techniques. Skilled in animal catheterization, restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards. Excellent dog handling skills along with pet care expertise including grooming and training fundamentals. Proficiency in radiography both full body and dental (X-ray) operation coupled with knowledge of veterinary imaging safety standards. Ability to communicate effectively with clients about pet care instructions using clear veterinary terminology. Animal handling skills that promote calmness and cooperation during examinations or treatments.
