ANIMAL EYE SPECIALTY CLINIC

is seeking a Credentialed (CVT, LVT, RVT, AHT) OR experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team in Stuart, Florida. Our technicians play a vital role in our practice and enable us to provide high quality specialized medicine. Knowledge and customer service go hand in hand, and are showcased by our technicians interactions with our patients and clients.

Qualifications/Skills:

Patient restraint and assisting doctors with examinations Obtaining detailed history Venipuncture IV Catheterization Intubation Anesthetic Monitoring Medical Terminology Strong communication skills with both team members and clients Friendly and positive attitude with ability to work well in a team atmosphere Ability to multi-task, efficient time management and prioritization Training will be provided for ophthalmology specific skills. Our surgical requirements are extensive so we are seeking someone with a strong background in anesthesia and surgery. Highlighted Surgeries offered in our practice: Cataract surgery Glaucoma valve surgery Glaucoma endolaser surgery Cryosurgery Eyelid surgery Ocular injury repair Corneal surgery The learning opportunities are endless and we desire someone detailed oriented who loves to work in surgery. Surgical tech responsibilities include calculation and administration of preanesthetic drugs, induction, intubation, monitoring and documentation of vital signs, discerning the difference between abnormal and normal values and overall knowledge of a surgical suite. Our practice has an excellent reputation in the community with an established referral base. There is no better feeling than to help a client with their pet when they come to us initially blind and they go home visual!

Experience:

Veterinary experience: 2 years (Required)
