Big hearts. Zero drama (except maybe from the cats). We're a small, tight-knit animal hospital in Tampa looking for a bilingual (Spanish/English) Veterinary Technician to join our pack. We're not a corporate mega-clinic with a hundred locations and a call center — we're the kind of place where everyone knows your name, your coffee order, and probably your dog's middle name too. A good chunk of our clients feel most comfortable speaking Spanish, and right now we're getting by on hand gestures and hopeful smiles. That's where you come in — we need someone who can talk pet parents through a diagnosis in whichever language makes them feel most at ease, no Google Translate required. What You'll Do Perform patient triage, assist with exams, and prep animals for procedures. Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under the veterinarian's direction. Run and interpret basic in-house diagnostics (bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams — the glamorous side of the job). Place IV catheters, monitor anesthesia, and assist in surgery. Take radiographs, and reassure the patient that this will not, in fact, hurt. Communicate clearly and warmly with clients in both English and Spanish. Keep medical records accurate and up to date. Jump in wherever needed — on a small team, everybody wears a few hats. What We're Looking For Ideally fluency in both English and Spanish, spoken and written. Certified/Registered/Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) preferred; experienced techs without certification are also encouraged to apply. Comfortable with restraint, venipuncture, and anesthesia monitoring, and good at the "many hands, one squirmy patient" style of teamwork. A calm presence in chaotic moments (looking at you, Fourth of July fireworks season). Genuine compassion for animals and the humans who love them.
