Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking to add a dedicated and energetic Veterinary Technician with at least two years of surgical experience to join our dynamic veterinary team. In these vital role, you will provide compassionate animal care, assist veterinarians with medical procedures, surgical and dental procedures, and ensure the highest standards of animal handling and clinical support. Your expertise will help create a positive environment for our furry patients and their owners, while contributing to the smooth operation of our practice. Customer Care Skills:
Proficient in handling multi-line telephone system Excellent oral and written communication skills Interpersonal skills including working in a team environment Handling difficult situations including emergencies Ability to triage phone calls to determine emergencies and scheduling appropriately Basic computer skills Strong organizational skills with ability to balance priorities and attend to details Typing skills (accuracy) Payment handling and basic finance skills Must be able to lift 40 pounds This position requires the ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day. Visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written directions. Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand, give information in person and over the telephone.QUALIFICATIONS
for Technician position :- Experience in performing dental prophylaxis and assisting in surgery is a must
- Proficient anesthetic skills. Applicant should have strong background in monitoring anesthesia and anesthetic protocols.
- Proficiency in phlebotomy, IM, SQ, IV injections and catheter placement
- In-house diagnostics including in-house fecal analysis, urinalysis, CBC, Chemistry, blood smears, ear and fungal analysis and radiology.
- Knowledgeable in veterinary medicine, commonly used medications and protocols & veterinary medical terminology.
- Confident in restraint and patient handling. Must be able to lift 40lbs, stand for extended periods of time and can effectively manage fractious patients.
- Excellent communication skills to promote client education and answer client questions regarding preventative care and medical questions/concern Please send your resume for immediate consideration.

30 hrs plus Duties/Skills Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment, restraining animals, and maintaining aseptic techniques. Handle dogs and cats with confidence using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests using lab analyzers, microscope, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses. Take radiographs ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Maintain detailed records of animal treatments, laboratory results, and procedural notes in accordance with clinic standards. Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and supporting cleaning or extraction processes. Proficient anesthetic skills. Applicant should have strong background in monitoring anesthesia and anesthetic protocols. Proficiency in phlebotomy, IM, SQ, IV injections and catheter placement Support critical care situations by providing attentive animal monitoring, catheterization procedures, and emergency response assistance. Ensure compliance with veterinary safety standards such as aseptic technique and proper animal restraint during procedures. Contribute to client education by explaining pet care instructions related to animal physiology or anatomy as needed. Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, surgery suite, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
