Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. This position requires expertise in various veterinary procedures and excellent communication skills.Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
- Take and develop X-rays
- Handle dogs and cats with care and compassion
- Provide animal care, including feeding, bathing, and grooming
- Monitor animal vital signs during procedures and recovery
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
- Assist with animal restraint when necessary
Skills:
- Proficiency in X-ray techniques and equipment operation
- Strong dog handling skills, ensuring their safety and comfort during procedures
- Knowledge of animal care practices, including nutrition, hygiene, and exercise
- Understanding of animal physiology and common veterinary medical conditions
- Experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role preferred
- Familiarity with animal husbandry techniques
- Ability to perform animal catheterization when needed
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately We offer competitive pay based on experience.
