Job Description

Are you an experienced Veterinary Technician interested in joining a compassionate team-oriented practice dedicated to high-quality patient care? We are seeking a skilled and motivated technician to become an integral part of our team. Responsibilities > Assist veterinarian with examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures > Perform venipuncture, laboratory sample collection, and in-house laboratory testing > Place and maintain intravenous catheters > Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs > Monitor anesthesia and surgical patients > Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian > Perform dental prophylaxis and assist with dental procedures > Monitor hospitalized patients and maintain accurate medical records > Educate clients regarding preventive care, treatment plans, and medications > Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient treatment environment Requirements > Previous veterinarian technician experience required; five years of experience preferred > Proficiency in patient restraint and handling > Experience in venipuncture, catheter placement, radiography, anesthesia monitoring, dental prophylaxis, and laboratory testing/microscopy >Strong communication and client service skills > Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment > Reliable, organized and detail-oriented > Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Pay:
$19.00 - $25.00 per hour
