Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician, where your passion for animal care and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. In this energetic role, you will assist veterinarians in delivering exceptional medical care, perform diagnostic procedures, and ensure the highest standards of animal handling and safety. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, sample collection, and surgical assistance Perform laboratory work such as blood draws, urinalysis, and diagnostic testing using veterinary software and laboratory equipment Operate radiology equipment to capture diagnostic images, including X-ray and radiology diagnostics procedures Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures, ensuring animal safety through veterinary anesthesia monitoring and management of general anesthesia Administer medications, IV insertion, vascular access, and perform animal catheterization with precision and aseptic technique Maintain detailed records of medical procedures, laboratory results, and client communications while adhering to veterinary terminology standards Skills Proven kennel experience along with animal handling expertise with dogs and cats. Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and critical & intensive care protocols Skilled in anesthesiology techniques including general anesthesia management and veterinary anesthesia monitoring Proficient in phlebotomy, medication administration, radiology diagnostics, pet grooming, and pet care routines Experience with veterinary surgical assistance, laboratory work, diagnostic radiology, and medical equipment operation Capable of performing emergency medicine procedures confidently while maintaining aseptic technique Excellent communication skills for client interaction regarding pet health care instructions and treatment plans Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to advancing animal health through compassionate care and technical excellence. Pay:
$15.50 - $19.00 per hour
