Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients and supporting our veterinary team in various clinical settings. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, including X-rays Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed Monitor the health and behavior of animals in our care Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient Provide animal restraint and support during procedures to ensure safety for both pets and staff Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventive health measures Handle various species with knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices Maintain cleanliness and organization within the clinic, adhering to aseptic techniques Qualifications Previous veterinary technician experience is preferred Knowledge of veterinary terminology Experience with animal handling Familiarity with laboratory procedures Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members A commitment to providing exceptional pet care in a compassionate manner
