Emergency Veterinary Services of Lisle is looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our small animal emergency team.
Youll work alongside veterinarians and other veterinary professionals caring for patients who need immediate attention. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, stays calm in a busy environment, and wants to build or expand their emergency medicine skills.
You do not need previous emergency experience to apply. We welcome both credentialed and non-credentialed technicians who have a solid clinical foundation and are ready to learn.
Your ScheduleFull-time positionFour evening shifts each week, 4:00 PM11:00 PMOne 12-hour weekend shift each weekWeekend availability is requiredSome holidays are part of the scheduleNo overnight shiftsA Typical Day May IncludeCaring for hospitalized and emergency patientsAdministering treatments and medicationsCollecting blood and placing IV cathetersRunning in-house diagnostic testingObtaining and positioning patients for radiographsAssisting with surgical proceduresMonitoring patients under anesthesiaSafely handling and restraining patientsKeeping veterinarians updated on patient statusCommunicating with pet owners and providing care instructionsCommunicating with referring veterinary practices when neededHelping with reception or other hospital needs when necessaryKeeping treatment areas and equipment clean, stocked, and organizedWhat You BringWere looking for someone with at least one year of veterinary technician experience who is comfortable with the fundamentals of patient care.

Have hands-on veterinary technician experienceAre comfortable with blood draws, IV catheter placement, restraint, and patient monitoringHave strong attention to detailCommunicate well with teammates and clientsCan stay organized while managing multiple prioritiesEnjoy working collaboratively in a fast-moving environmentAre dependable and willing to jump in where neededAre interested in developing your emergency medicine skillsCVT/credentialed technicians are preferred, but non-credentialed technicians are encouraged to apply.
