Licensed Veterinary Technician Lapel Animal Clinic Noblesville, IN Job Details Full-time $17 - $24 an hour 16 hours ago Benefits Continuing education credits 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Employee discount Qualifications Veterinary Technician Certification Animal catheterization Veterinary clinic experience Dog handling Associate's degree Animal restraint Full Job Description At Lapel Animal Clinic, our Registered/Licensed Veterinary Technicians are responsible for taking history for appointments, drawing up vaccinations and discussing routine heartworm and flea/tick prevention options with clients, medical needs, behavioral concerns, etc. They will also be proficient in monitoring anesthesia, placing IV catheters, venipuncture, in house cytology, in house lab work, taking radiographs, and assisting in other various medical procedures. We are looking for a RVT to join our team that enjoy a fast-paced environment with variability in the type of cases seen throughout the day (puppy/kitten wellness, adult wellness, emergency, sick, behavioral, etc.). The ideal candidate will be someone that likes to have fun while they work and enjoys working as a team. Any experience level will be considered; pay is commensurate with experience. Lapel Animal Clinic is independently owned and is not a part of any corporation. Qualifications Veterinary experience Animal handling and restraint skills Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy Experience in animal catheterization and IV insertion Familiarity with anesthesiology and blood sampling procedures Ability to work in a veterinary clinic setting Additional skills in dog handling and pet care are a plus
