Are you looking for that ever-elusive work-life balance? Are you wanting to work in a drama free environment with an amazing team? We are a surgery only hospital with a small but mighty team. We are open Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM so you will get to enjoy every weekend off! We are looking for someone with a "go-getter" attitude who thrives in an environment where teamwork, comradery and self starter attitudes are key. Our ideal candidate loves assisting in surgery and has had experience assisting in abdominal and orthopedic procedures. He/she should also be proficient at monitoring anesthesia. We believe in utilizing our technicians/ skills as much as possible!
Responsibilities:
  • Technical tasks: blood draws, catheter placements, intubation, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, radiography, epidurals, etc
  • Maintaining surgical equipment, wrapping packs, etc
  • Communicating with clients in person (intake, discharge, rechecks) and on the phone
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a veterinary technician in a surgical/anesthesia role is preferred
  • Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain animals during procedures
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary staff
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
