Animal Care Clinic in Western Shawnee, KS, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our privately-owned, three-doctor small animal practice. We provide appointment-only services ranging from general medicine and dentistry to surgery and nutritional care. We are looking for a reliable, compassionate team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to strengthening the human-animal bond.

Your Schedule Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays:

7:45 AM

•6:00 PM (Exam rooms & surgery assistance)

Wednesdays:

7:45 AM

•6:00 PM (Exam rooms)

Saturdays:

1 to 2 shifts per month, 7:45 AM

•1:00 PM (Exam rooms) Key Responsibilities Assist with surgical and dental procedures (ranging from routine spay/neuter to soft tissue and limited orthopedics). Administer and monitor anesthesia. Conduct examination visits alongside our doctors. Educate and communicate effectively with clients. Perform in-house laboratory work, digital radiography, and dental prophylaxis. Administer fluids, vaccinations, and other injections. Provide routine care, including nail trims and anal gland expressions.

Requirements & Qualifications Education:

Veterinary Technician Degree required (state certification is a plus, but uncertified degree-holders will gladly be considered).

Experience:

Must be comfortable and confident assisting with surgery and dentals. Experience with Avimark software is a highly valued bonus.

Soft Skills:

Strong communication skills, empathy for clients and patients, and the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations. Compensation $19.00
