Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our animal care team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing high-quality medical care for animals under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.Duties:
- Perform animal handling and restraint during examinations and procedures
- Assist in surgical procedures, including preparation, monitoring, and post-operative care
- Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation of patient information
- Educate pet owners on animal care and treatment plans
Skills:
- Proficiency in animal husbandry practices
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Experience with animal catheterization and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with animal physiology and laboratory equipment
- Ability to handle dogs and cats safely and effectively
