Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Technician (Licensed Veterinary Technician - LVT or Certified Veterinary Technician - CVT) and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care. What You Bring Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred A team-oriented mindset that supports and uplifts others Ability to stay calm, adaptable, and focused in a fast-paced setting Strong communication skills with clients and team members A genuine commitment to compassionate patient care Key Responsibilities As an LVT, you will play a critical role in patient care, supporting both veterinarians and pet owners through a wide range of clinical and client-focused responsibilities: Clinical & Technical Duties Assist veterinarians with examinations and procedures, including: Venipuncture and IV catheter placement Administering vaccines, medications, and treatments Digital radiography (X-ray) and imaging preparation Filling prescriptions and maintaining pharmacy inventory Perform laboratory diagnostic testing , including: Blood draws and analysis Urinalysis, fecal exams, and cytology Provide nursing care and patient monitoring : Monitor vital signs and patient recovery Observe behavior and report changes Clean and dress wounds Anesthesia & Surgical Support Prepare patients for surgery Induce, monitor, and maintain anesthesia Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments Dental & Imaging Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis) Take diagnostic X-rays Assist with dental procedures Patient Care & Handling Safely handle and restrain patients during exams and treatments Intake patients, obtain accurate medical histories, and carry out treatment plans Client Communication Educate pet owners on: Nutrition and wellness care Parasite prevention Behavioral guidance Post-operative care instructions Maintain clear, accurate medical records and ensure effective communication Emergency & General Support Perform triage on emergency patients and provide immediate first aid Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
Required Qualifications Education:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology (AVMA-accredited program preferred)Licensure:
VTNE passed and current state licensure/registrationSkills:
