Job Description
Equine Veterinary Technician for Weekends Simpsonville, KY Equine Athlete Veterinary Services in Simpsonville, KY is seeking an experienced veterinary technician who is interested in working every other weekend, Candidates with previous equine experience are required. EAVS primarily does orthopedic surgery on racehorses, saddlebreds, and standardbreds. Duties will include daily treatments for each patient, changing bandages, cleaning, restocking inventory, feeding horses as well as assisting with loading & unloading horses. Working closely with veterinerians and maintaining good communication regarding weekend care of patients is expected. He/she will also be expected to assist veterinarians with any procedures. Candidate must be willing to take initiative on getting tasks done without supervision. Strong work ethic is required.
