Job Description
Associated Veterinary Services is looking for a part-time or full-time veterinary technician to join a diverse team in providing quality veterinary care to the Baton Rouge community. We are a high-volume small animal practice, and applicants should be able to work well in a fast-paced environment. Technician duties include but are not limited to the following: Interacting with clients and fellow staff in a positive and friendly manner. Proper handling and restraint of patients Collection of patient medical history and diagnostic samples Running in house diagnostic tests Surgical preparation and monitoring of patients under anesthesia Sanitation and organization of the clinic Administration of medications to patients Communicating with clients Technician benefits include the following: Competitive pay rate Employer-paid health, dental vision and life insurance Bonus pay Veterinary care discounts Experienced and knowledgeable staff to assist at all times
