Job Summary The Veterinary Technician provides medical and surgical support, patient care, and client education under the supervision of a veterinarian. This role includes technical, administrative, and housekeeping responsibilities to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient clinic operations. Responsibilities Medical Care & Patient Support Perform treatments and administer medications as directed by a DVM Safely and appropriately restrain animals Collect blood, urine, fecal, and cytology samples and run in-house diagnostics Prepare and monitor patients for anesthesia Assist in surgical procedures Perform dental cleanings and dental radiographs Maintain accurate, detailed medical records Client Communication Educate clients on preventative care and post-treatment instructions Prepare discharge paperwork and home-care instructions Demonstrate proper medication administration Facility Maintenance Clean, maintain, and stock exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites Assist with inventory control for medical supplies Follow sanitation and infection-control protocols Administrative Support Enter charges accurately into the practice management system Assist with scheduling recheck appointments Support front-desk operations (phones, patient intake) when needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) 1+ year of veterinary experience preferred Credentialed technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) preferred but not required Strong technical and animal-handling skills Ability to lift 40+ lbs and safely restrain animals Excellent communication and client-service skills Schedule Part-Time or Full-time position Must be available Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays Additional flexibility for weekday shifts required Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive pay structure based on experience, along with a comprehensive full-time benefits package: Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance IRA with company matching contributions Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid holidays How to Apply Please submit your resume and indicate your availability.
