Must be motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures by preparing equipment and ensuring a sterile environment using aseptic techniques. Handle animal restraint and restraint techniques to ensure safety for both animals and staff during procedures. Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures to support accurate diagnoses. Maintain detailed records of patient histories, treatments, and lab results with precision and clarity. Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines and assist with radiographic procedures to aid in accurate diagnosis. Support dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with pet dental care routines. Qualifications Must be 18 years or older with high school diploma Prior hands-on animal handling experience is highly desirable. Must be dependable and punctual Must be able to work alternating weekends Strong communication and teamwork skills Experience working within a veterinary clinic or hospital setting is preferred; but not required Certification or practical experience in veterinary technician roles will strengthen your application. Physical Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time Heavy lifting is required
