Works closely with the research veterinarian on conducting important pre-clinical immunological research in complex nonhuman primate models. Ensures excellent animal care and welfare. Dr. Kean's research program is focused on the immunology of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, tolerance induction for solid organ transplantation through cellular therapeutics, and immune tolerance in allo- and auto-immune diseases. The overarching goal of her research is to understand mechanisms underlying immune tolerance.

//www.ctsilab.com/team-1 The Primate Animal Research Technologist will be responsible for: Daily observation Research medication dosing Biological sampling (blood draws) Assisting with bone marrow aspiration, CSF collection, and simple biopsies Supporting Surgical and post-operative, and maintaining tether systems Daily communication with the team regarding animal status and project progress Maintaining research and medical records Welfare and compliance monitoring Minimum Requirements Education A minimum of high school level of education is required. An associate's degree in Biological or animal sciences is preferred. Experience A minimum of two years of experience working with non-human primates or large animals in a research or clinical setting is required. Certification with the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science at ALAT or LAT level preferredCVT/RVT/LVT
licensure is preferred.
