Job Description

Brijon Veterinary Urgent Care is a new, privately owned urgent care center in Hanover, MA. Our facility has all new, state of the art equipment. We are open 7 days a week (excluding major holidays). Our hours are 2pm-10pm Monday-Thursday, 10am-10pm Fridays and 11am-7pm Saturday and Sunday. Our goal is to provide the best veterinary care to our furry friends throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. We see scheduled appointments, as well as walk-in cases. The right candidate should have a positive attitude, and be comfortable working with clients as well as our feline and canine patients. If you decide to join our team, you will be working in a fast-paced environment. It will help if you have emergency or urgent care experience, but any related veterinary familiarity would be great! We will offer full benefits, 401K, CE allowance, uniform allowance, and employee pet discounts Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Working as an individual and as part of the team
  • Checking patients in, and triaging over the phone or in person
  • Doing patient workups in the treatment area (blood draws, xrays, running labwork on our in house machines, etc.)
  • Safely restrain dogs and cats
  • Monitor anesthesia, intubate both dogs and cats
  • Administer medications
  • Cash clients out and go over discharges
Position Requirements:
  • You must be able to stand, walk, kneel, hear and see. You will frequently be on your feet and expected to be able to lift and move things, including our animal patients
  • You must be able to lift 25lbs unassisted
  • You must be able to read and understand instructions
  • Must be comfortable with veterinary terminology and medical calculations
  • Work well under pressure
  • Work as an individual by being able to do some or most tasks alone, as well as part of the team
