$22.00 - $30.00 / hour Description Melrose Animal Clinic | Melrose, MA 🐾 Join Our Growing Veterinary Team at Melrose Animal Clinic! Melrose Animal Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Technician — certified (CVT) or experienced non-certified —to join our AAHA-accredited, seven-doctor small animal practice in Melrose, MA. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time positions and welcome technicians at different stages of their careers who are passionate about patient care and teamwork. Whether you're a credentialed technician or a skilled veterinary assistant looking to continue growing clinically, you'll find a supportive, hands-on environment where your contributions truly matter. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Assisting in surgical procedures, including anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery Performing dental cleanings and maintaining dental equipment Supporting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures Providing client education on preventive care and wellness Conducting laboratory testing and sample processing Performing phlebotomy and digital radiography Proper cleaning, sterilization, and organization of instruments Safe, gentle, and effective animal restraint Responsibilities may vary based on experience, credentials, and role (CVT vs. non-certified). Skills Knowledge and Expertise Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVT/LVT/RVT) or experienced non-credentialed veterinary technicians/assistants Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset Experience with anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, or lab work is a plus Compassionate, detail-oriented, and dependable A genuine passion for animal care and client service Benefits Competitive pay $22-30 / hour Paid Time Off (PTO) Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision insurance Employee discounts Flexible schedules 401K with company match Career development and training
