Ideal hire date:
Start date is negotiable for the right candidate. Ideally by June 15th. Duties Your duties will include assisting DVMs and other technician team mates with outpatient treatments and diagnostics, seeing technician appointments, setting up medications, client education, phone triage, and post procedure phone check ins. For candidates with surgical experience, duties will also include intake/discharge of surgical patients, preparing/administering anesthesia, placing intravenous catheters, intubation, performing dental prophylaxis, obtaining full mouth dental radiographs, phlebotomy, monitoring and recovery of surgical patients, and more. Our hospital firmly believes technicians should be used to their full capacity- a desire to continuing growing skills and capabilities is a must. Ability to work collaboratively as a team is a must. Experience
- Previous experience as a veterinary technician is required
- Familiarity with low stress animal handling techniques is a plus
- Understanding of animal behavior and communication signals is a plus
- Some computer skills are necessary, impromed familiarity is a plus
- Ability to provide high level customer service, and work successfully in a team environment required.
