We are dedicated to providing advanced veterinary care with a focus on compassionate treatment and innovative solutions for our patients. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Technician (Certified Veterinary Technician - CVT) to join our urgent care team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary critical care, emergency or urgent care animal handling, and laboratory procedures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and client satisfaction. Duties Assist veterinarians with emergency and urgent care procedures, ensuring prompt and effective treatment for critically ill or injured animals. Perform animal restraint, catheterization, and other restraint techniques to facilitate examinations and treatments while ensuring safety for both animals and staff. Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and interpret results to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as wound management, injections, and surgeries to prevent infection. Manage pet care tasks including grooming, feeding, and monitoring vital signs to support recovery and comfort. Operate diagnostic imaging equipment such as X-ray machines with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Support animal husbandry practices by cleaning enclosures, providing proper nutrition, and ensuring overall animal well-being. Collaborate with team members on dental procedures utilizing dental terminology and techniques to promote oral health. Provide anesthesia or sedation monitoring during procedures. Experience Candidates should have prior experience working in veterinary critical care or emergency settings, demonstrating proficiency in animal handling, restraint, and laboratory procedures. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy knowledge, and pet care practices is essential. Candidates must possess veterinary technician experience with skills in animal catheterization, aseptic technique, X-ray operation, anesthesia and dog handling. A comprehensive understanding of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy will support effective communication within the team.
